Precis of Decision:

A Professional Conduct Committee charged that the Occupational Therapist had been practising the profession of occupational therapy between 1 April 2005 and 11 February 2009, while not holding a current annual practising certificate.  The Occupational Therapist accepted that she had practised without a practising certificate.

The Tribunal held that the Occupational Therapist's conduct, was inappropriate and that the charge was established and warranted disciplinary sanction.

The Tribunal ordered the Occupational Therapist be censured, pay a fine of $1,400 and costs of $2,000.  The Tribunal also imposed a condition that the Occupational Therapist practise under supervision for two years from the date of the decision, in order to maintain public standards and safety.

The Tribunal directed publication of the decision and a summary.

Ms O sought and was granted permanent name suppression on medical grounds.
