Charge

On Thursday 05 April 2018 the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal considered a charge laid by a Professional Conduct Committee against Mr Park Ung Wong, registered pharmacist of Auckland (the Pharmacist).

The charge alleged that Mr Wong was convicted on charges of making a false document, supply of prescription medicine in breach of the Medicines Act and two charges of criminal nuisance.

Findings

The hearing proceeded on an agreed summary of facts basis.  The Tribunal found the charge established and was satisfied that it reflected adversely on the Practitioner's fitness to practise as a pharmacist.

Penalty

The Tribunal censured the Pharmacist and cancelled his registration.  The Tribunal ordered the Pharmacist to pay 35% of the total costs of the Tribunal and the PCC.
