Appeal Decision:

Penalty Decision
Outcome

The practitioner appealed to the High Court against the Tribunal’s penalty decision.  The practitioner sought a stay of the penalty decision and also applied to the Court for interim suppression of his name pending the outcome of the appeal.  The High Court granted a stay of the Tribunal’s penalty decision but dismissed the application for interim name suppression to enable the practitioner to continue practising as a general podiatrist only and allow the public to make an informed decision whether to engage the practitioner’s services.  [2022] NZHC 971.
