Charge

On 18 October 2017, the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal considered a charge laid by the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) against Ms Melissa Vetter (the Chiropractor) of Havelock North.

The charge alleged that the Chiropractor failed on numerous occasions to create clinical records for her patients and on numerous occasions failed to record adequate patient assessments with details.

The Chiropractor appeared at the hearing and the hearing proceeded on an agreed summary of facts basis.

Findings

The Tribuanl found the charges made out, professional misconduct was established and that disciplinary sanction should follow.

Penalty

The Chiropractor was censured and conditions were imposed on her practice.  The Tribunal ordered the Chiropractor to pay a total contribution of $20,000 to the costs of the Tribunal and the PCC.
